The goal of this plugin is to help you writing articels about Magic: the Gathering like tournament reports or draft walkthroughs and reducing the time you need for posting decks and link cards to their picture.
All this stuff is taken care of by the plugin and that’s not the enf of it. MtG-Helper does not only link cards for you it also creates good looking deck lists, sealed pools and booster drafts.
The only thing you have to do is typ in the cards.
If you still not convinced, take a look at the screenshots.
If your have any questions how to use the plugin take a look into the FAQ (or readme-file). If this doesn’t help, contact me. Maybe I could help
Thanks to Dave Astels there is a new Option for the [card]-tag. The link name can now be differend from the displayed name. E.g.: Look at this ( [card Thorn of Amethyst]thorn [/card]).
No changes! BUT there was a proplem with uploading the last version to the wp.org repository. Something was wrong with either my SVN or theirs. I hope it uploaded the plugin correctly this time. If not: Check if ALL files are installed. Last time the folders images, css and js were missing. Needless to say that the plugin doesn’t work without those folders… If the folders are still missing please download version 1.1.1 and copy the missing folders into the plugin directory. I hope I fixed it this time Sorry for the inconvenience.
Added support for card names with an apostroph in it (e.g. Emrakul’s Hatcher).
This fix was NOT introduced by me rather than by Blake. Thanks a lot man! I really appreciate it.
[card]-button was missing in last release.
Added new Option: aligment.
Added some new Options for Tabs. Hopefully it will help to fit your needs. (Font color, font weight, height)
And most importantly: You can now specify the number of categories per tab row. This value works like a column brake, viz. mulit rows for tabs.
Almost a complete rewrite.
Rewrote the deck and draft engine. There’s now only one parser (default tag:[cardlist]), which includes everything known plus some new additions.
Tons of new options like:
» Three different display possibilities: cardbox, tooltip or thumbnail.
» Categories can be in tabs or normal headlines.
» No column limit! (Before there were a maximum of two columns.)
» New options: minimize/collapse the cardlists for less use of space.
» Different zoom actions for thumbnails.
Introducing custom tags:
» Make your own tags to simplify work.
» [deck] and [draft] will be the custom tags. Nothing is lost and downward compatibility is sustained.
Completely new (and hopefully better) designed admin page.
Link to the settings in the plugin overview
Compatibility with WP2.6 (move content dir)
Fixed a typo which broke the comments. Sorry about that.
Fixed an indication error: “Pick”- and “count cards”-options are proberly stored but not displayed correctly in the admin panel.
Fixed a bug with font size.
Fixed another indication error: Never display “show pick” if there is no pick selected.
Fixed another IE bug. (IE default: cellpadding/-spacing 1px…)
» Allow card- and deck-tags in comments.
» Custom number of cards per row in draft view (style attribute:rowcount)
Define some extra values in the css file. Hopefully this will help overwrite some theme settings, which mess up the plugins appearance.
Fixed a bug with columns when using line breaks or semicolon.
Fixed a bug with counting the cards inside a category.
Rewrote the complete deck part. Wasn’t necessary but code is poetry! (Small speed improvement.)
Done some SEO.
Cleaned up the css file. If you experience any problems with your wordpress theme and the plugin please let me know.
Introduce more styling freedom for decks. Hopefully it will help people to better fit the plugin into their blog.
Finally added a admin option panel for the plugin. Everything could be adjusted.
Fixed some display errors with IE. Thanks to McCombs for informing me.
Improved the draft view! Different tooltip (zomm instead of jTip), options for pick (show, toggle) and changeable width. Options are: pick,pick-toggle,width.
Replaced the *-seperator in the deck view. The old way still works but you can now just do linebreaks or semicolons for seperation.
Added cardlinking for comments.
Inspired by some feedback I added a new view: draft view. I hope that it helps everyone writing draft walkthroughs.
Minor bug fix: Tooltip appears out of sight if the card name is seperated due to a linebreak within the name.
Fixed a bug with the card tooltip overlaping the lower window border. Now the tooltip always appears where you can read it.
Improved the line brake. You should now have always the card preview in sight.
Fixed the deck title in the dynamic deck view (forgotten spacebar ruined everything..)
Began with same look improvements.
Rewrote the readme file and added the description (engl) to my blog.
Only fixed the bug with special chars in the deck view (v0.5). Just a litte update but now you can also link cards like “Ertai, Wizard Adept“. Still don’t know how to escape the ‘-Letter
Fixed a bug with special chars, which are in some card names like “Ertai, Wizard Adept”.
Added buttons into TinyMCE for lazy people like me. Never again typing [card]. Only one button click know.
Another clean up. The Code growed so much that I’ll loose the overview. So I grouped and extracted code parts in different php-Files.
You can know add headines inside a deck with [your headline]cards here[/your headline].
Fixed some display errors.
Ups, forgot to initalize an array *ehem*. Worked but warnings are never good…
Introducing the [DECK]-tags!
Added simple Listing for a Deck and a box where the picture of the mouseovered card is displayed
Cleaned up the Code and the Directory Structure.
Comment the code.
Easy and gorgeous Cardlinking of MtG-Cards with [Card]- or [card]-Tags.
FadeIn-Effect added for better Look.
- None. But let me know if you find some!
Special thanks to Simon Franz for being my personal debuggin machine, testing and helping me out so many times. You can visit his site under www.tanzmusik-online.de. Especial if your are interested in Music and Dance. The site is in German but I guess you can use it without knowing the language
